Cantores Chamber Choir

Who we are

Cantores is a highly sought-after chamber choir with a growing reputation for innovative and exciting programming, creating memorable performances in and around the Cotswolds. We consist of 30 enthusiastic and dedicated singers under Musical Director Simon Harper, performing at the highest amateur standard and thrilling audiences around the Cotswolds with choral music from the Middle Ages to the present.

Cantores Chamber is an auditioned choir who love to sing a varied programme of old and new sacred and secular choral music often in 8 or more parts. We are good sight-readers and enjoy the challenge of new music. Our ambition is to put on quality performances. Cantores is primarily an a capella choir but our repertoire includes some accompanied works.

Cantores is run by a committee which organises the concerts, venues and marketing so that the Musical Director can concentrate on the preparing the choir for musical performances of a high standard.

Above all, we are a friendly and sociable group of people who really enjoy singing together.
