Cheltenham Choral Society

Who we are

Cheltenham Choral Society is a friendly, amateur choir with a long-standing reputation for providing a top-quality experience for both audiences and singers. We are a choir of over 80 members, performing at public concerts to a high standard. Our concert programmes are drawn largely from the standard Classical, Romantic, and Twentieth-Century choral repertoire, and are accompanied by piano, organ, or chamber orchestra.

You should have some previous choral singing experience and the ability to sing in tune, but there are no auditions, and sightreading is not essential.

We practise for various performances throughout the year.  Generally a concert in the autumn; a Christmas show with local youth choirs; one around Easter and a summer lunchtime performance.

We welcome new choir members, (Tenors and Basses at the time of writing). You are welcome to apply as a Soprano or an Alto but you may be placed on a waiting list.
